As a nomadic family, we’ve spent years travelling, exploring, and connecting with the world’s beauty and people. Along the way, we’ve embraced a way of living that honours the planet and all its inhabitants. But with every step, we’ve also witnessed the impact of unsustainable practices: overflowing landfills, polluted waters, and the undervaluing of skilled artisans. These experiences ignited a spark within us—a desire to create something meaningful that could make a difference.

The birth of Pure Ahi

Pure Ahi was born in Southeast Asia. We were inspired by the artistry of local and international craftspeople, watching them turn simple, natural materials into beautiful creations. The process was slow, deliberate and deeply respectful of the environment, starkly contrasting the fast-paced, wasteful world of conventional fashion. As a family that appreciates arts and self-expression, we were inspired to combine our love for nature, ethical living, and creativity into a brand that could reflect our family’s journey. The name “Pure Ahi” represents purity and light, encapsulating our vision of creating something that illuminates a path toward conscious living.

We started experimenting with botanical dyeing, creating prints using tree leaves and natural pigments. Each design became a piece of art, a testament to the beauty of nature. This wasn’t just a business for us - it became a family effort. From gathering materials to collaborating with skilled local tailors, every step of the process reflected the values we want to teach our children: care, responsibility, and respect for the world around us.
